1. إذا قُلْتُ يَبلى الحبُّ فيكم تجَدّدا

    وَعَاد بِكُم ذاكَ الغرامُ كما بَدَا

    If I say that love for you is renewed

    And that passion returned to you as it began

  2. وأنتم أَحبائي على السخطِ والرضَى

    فلا تفعلوا بي فعلَ ما يفعلُ العِدا

    While you, my loved ones, in contentment or anger

    Do not treat me as enemies would treat

  3. سَلاَمٌ على أيّامكم مَا ألذَّها

    وأطيبَها نفسي لا يأمكم فِدا

    Peace be upon your days, how sweet they were

    And how delightful to my soul, I wish no ransom for you

  4. أيا واردينَ الماءَ من شعبِ رامةٍ

    ألَمْ تَكفِكُم أمواه عيني موردا

    O you who come for water from the valley of Rama

    Have not my tears quenched your thirst enough?

  5. ويا ساكنينَ القلبَ كيف سكنتم

    وفيه من الأشواقِ نارٌ توقدا

    O you who live in my heart, how could you live

    When in it is a fire of longing blazing?

  6. عَصَيْنا عليكم كلمن لاَمَ فيكم

    فلا تسمعوا فينا عَذُولاً وَحُسَّدا

    We disobeyed those of you who blamed us

    So do not listen to any who accuse or envy us

  7. هنيئاً مَريئاً أنْ تنامَ جُفونُكم

    وعندي لكم شوقٌ أقامَ وأقعدا

    Happy and blessed is your sleep

    While I have a longing ever-waking and resting

  8. متى تسمح الدُّنيا بقرب مَزَاركم

    مَتى تجمِع الأيامُ شملاً مُبدَّدا

    When will the world allow me near your tombs?

    When will the days reunite what is scattered?

  9. أحدثُ نفسي كلَّ حين بذكركم

    وأسأل عنكم كلَّ مَنْ راح أوْ غدا

    I speak to myself of you at all times

    And ask about you all who depart or return

  10. أيا رائحاً أقِصى ذؤَوالِ تُقِلُّهُ

    هملعة تطوي قفاراً وفدفدا

    O you who travel the ends of the lands, carry

    A greeting to illuminate the vast wilderness

  11. إذا أنْت جئت المسجدَ الفرد فالتثم

    ثراهُ وقُلْ نفسي فِداؤُك مسجدَا

    If you come to the singular mosque, kiss

    Its earth and say my soul is its ransom

  12. وقابِلْ حبيباً ثم قبّلْ أناملاً

    لأحمد حيا الله طَلْعة أحمدا

    And meet a beloved, then kiss the fingers

    Of Ahmed, may God keep alive Ahmed's features

  13. فذاكَ إمامُ العِلْمِ والعَلَمِ الذي

    به في البرايا قَد هدى الله من هدى

    He is the Imam of knowledge and the flag with which

    God guided those He guided in the wilds

  14. وذاك الذي لولا بياضُ جبينه

    لأصبح منهاجُ الهداية أسودا

    He whose fair forehead were it not for

    The path of guidance would be dark

  15. هو الكوكبُ الدوارُ مُلْتمعُ الضِيَا

    به في طريق العلم والدين يقتدى

    He is the revolving star, collected splendor

    By whom one is guided in the path of knowledge and religion

  16. له حرمٌ قد شرّف الله قدرَه

    فلا جيه لا يخشى عُداةَ وحُسّدا

    He has a sanctuary God has ennobled

    Where no enemy or envier can touch

  17. ومَنْ زاره يُمسي بروضة جنّةٍ

    فزائر ذاك السوح مَا خابَ مَقصَدا

    Whoever visits him sleeps in a garden of Paradise

    So the pilgrim to that plain will not fail his quest

  18. أيا حجّةَ الله الذي هو قدوةٌ

    لمن لا يرى الطهرَ النبي مُحَمّدا

    O God's proof who is an exemplar

    For those who do not see the pure Prophet Muhammad

  19. على وجههِ الميمونِ كلُّ تحيّةٍ

    مباركةٍ مَا ناح وُرقٌ وغرّدا

    Upon his blessed face are all greetings

    Blessed, whenever foliage rustled and birds chirped

  20. إذا عُدّدَ الابدال والسادةُ الأولى

    بعلم وَحلمٍ كان أحمدُ أوحدا

    If the substitutes and the foremost nobles

    Are counted by knowledge and forbearance, Ahmed would be peerless

  21. وإن حُمدَ السّادات يوماً بفعلِهم

    رأينَا أبا العباس أحمدَ أحمدا

    And if the masters are praised one day for their deeds

    We see Abu Al-Abbas Ahmed most praised

  22. لِزيمُكَ لا يخشى وإني لم أزل

    لزيمك قد أوثقتْ في يدك اليدا

    Your companion fears nothing though I have not

    Ceased to be your companion, binding fast to your hand

  23. وما أنا بالراجيك لليوم وحدَه

    ولكنني أرْجوك لليوم والغدا

    It is not only for today I hope in you

    But also for tomorrow and all days to come

  24. لأبْلُغَ في الدنيا بجاهك رفعةً

    وألْقَاك في الأخرى مُغَيراً ومنجداً

    That I may attain through your rank exaltation in this world

    And find you in the next glorified and victorious

  25. فهلْ أنت ترضى أنني لك خادم

    فإنيْ وحَقِّ الله أرضاك سيدا

    Will you be pleased that I am your servant?

    For by God, I am pleased with you as master

  26. فقل قد أمنتَ النائبات جميعها

    وقد صرت منّا لا تخافَ من الردى

    Tell me you have granted all requests

    And that you are safe from decline through me

  27. فأبقاك من أبقاك للخلق كاملاً

    وأحياك من أحياك للعلم والهدى

    May He who made you perfect for creation keep you so

    And He who gave you life for knowledge and guidance revive you
