1. كتابكمُ وافَى إلينا فسرّنَا

    سروراً عظيماً يبرئُ القلبَ من سقمِ

    Your letter has reached us, so we rejoiced

    With great delight that heals the heart of sickness

  2. ذكرتمْ لنَا أنا تركنا ديارَنا

    وأصحابَنا أهلَ القرابةِ والرحمِ

    You mentioned that we left our homes

    And our family, relatives and kin

  3. فلا تحسِبُوا أنا سلونا ربوعَنا

    ولا دارَ أهلِ الودّ والخال والعمِّ

    Yet think not we forgot our meadows

    Or homes of friends, uncles and cousins

  4. ولا جيرةَ بالهوب خنا وِدادهمُ

    لفرقتنا عنهم زماناً بلا جُرْمِ

    Nor kind neighbors whose affection

    Was parted from for a time without crime

  5. خرجْنا من الْهُوبِ التي هي دارُنا

    طلاباً لرزق الله من غير ما إِثْمِ

    We left the beloved homelands which were our abode

    Seeking God’s provision without any sin

  6. على أننا الأولادُ والهوب أمّنا

    ولا يستوى نسلُ الرجالِ بلا أمِّ

    For we are the children and home is our mother

    The progeny of men are not equal without a mother

  7. ولكن خرجْنا نطلبُ الرزقَ أينما

    يكونُ ومن برٍّ بسيطٍ ومن يَمِّ

    But we went out seeking livelihood wherever

    It may be, with simple piety or endeavor

  8. وأنّا بخير في سرورٍ ونعمةٍ

    وأنهارنا تجرى وأرزاقُنا تَنْمِى

    We are well, in joy and grace

    Our rivers flow and provision thrives

  9. لأنَّا جعلنا الهوبَ رأساً لمالِنا

    كذلك رأس المال يَحمى عن الغُرْمِ

    For we made the beloved the capital of our wealth

    The head of capital thus protected from debt

  10. سنضرب في الآفاقِ شرقاً ومغرباً

    ونقطعُ أجبالا وبيداً بلا رَغْمِ

    We will roam east and west in the horizons

    Crossing mountains and deserts without fatigue

  11. طلابُ رضى البارِى لكسب عيالِنا

    ولا بدَّ للإنسانِ من مَطْلبِ القَسْمِ

    Seeking the pleasure of the Noble Creator, to provide for our families

    Man has no escape from seeking his destined share

  12. علينا التماسُ الرزقٍ من كل وجهةٍ

    ونَرْضَى بما يقضِى به اللهُ مِنْ حُكْمِ

    It is upon us to seek livelihood from every corner

    And be content with what Allah decrees of fate

  13. ولا تحسبن الرزقَ فاتَك وادعاً

    بلا حركاتٍ منك بالجد والحَزْمِ

    Think not livelihood has evaded you untried

    Without effort from you of resolve and wisdom

  14. نَزَلْنا بكُرشا بلدة العزّ والغنى

    وأصحابُها أهلُ الشجاعةِ والحَزْمِ

    We arrived at Kursha, city of honor and plenty

    Whose people are of courage and judiciousness

  15. أولئك قومٌ قد أطاءوا إمامَهم

    وهُمْ سادةٌ حادُوا عن الجَوْرِ والغَشْمِ

    They have submitted to their Imam

    Lords who shun tyranny and oppression

  16. وهُمْ أهلُ ودٍّ للأَئمةِ كلهم

    وأجدادُهم من قبل في الحرب والسِّلْمِ

    They are people of affection for all the Imams

    And their ancestors before in war and peace

  17. دَعِ الهوب والرستاق والجو والع

    لو سواءٌ بتقديرِ العزيزِ على عِلْمِ

    Leave beloved, Rustaq, Debai and Al-Jaww

    For they equal in the decree of the All-Knowing

  18. وكلُّ بحمدٍ اللهٍ جامعُ شملِهم

    إمام البرايا سيدُ العرب والعجمِ

    And each land - praised be Allah - their unity rejoined

    Imam of the righteous, Master of Arabs and non-Arabs

  19. هو العدلُ سيف بحلُ سلطان سيفنا

    فتى مالك نجلُ الجحاجحة الشُّمِّ

    He is the justice, sword of the Sultan of Swords

    The gallant Malik, son of the Juhainah tribe

  20. عليهِ صلاةُ الله ما لاحَ باقٌ

    وحنّتَ رعودٌ في انهطال من الوسْمِى

    Upon him, the prayers of Allah last as long as all remain

    And sorrow clouds downpour with pouring rain
