يا ابن الإمامِ المرتَضَى

نسلَ الكرامِ أبا العربْ

O son of Imam Al-Murtaza

The progeny of the honorable, father of the Arabs

يا ابن الجَحاجِحَةِ الأُلَى

أنسابُهم أزكَى النسبْ

O son of Al-Jahhajah the eminent

Their lineage is the purest lineage

والناطِقُ المزرى على

لُغَةِ الأعاجِمِ والعربْ

The articulate speaker in

The language of the non-Arabs and the Arabs

والسيدُ الشهمُ الفتَى

والمرتقِى أَعْلَى الرُّتَبْ

The valiant master, the young man

And the one rising to the highest ranks

والمُنْجِزُ الوعد الوفى

وأخا الممالك والحَسَبْ

The fulfiller of the true promise

And brother of kingdoms and merits

قد آنَ ما منَّيْتَنِي

وأنا المطيعُ لك المحبُّ

The time has come that I wished from you

And I am the obedient lover

إنِّي رجوت بحُسْن ظنِّي

أن تجودَ بما أُحبّْ

I hoped in my good thoughts

That you would give generously what I love

مولايَ يا مولى الوَرَى

أنت المُنَى لألى الأدبْ

My master, O master of all people

You are the hope of the most distinguished

جُدْ لي بنفسي إنني

أرجو الغِنَى في المكتسبْ

Be generous to me, for I

Hope for wealth in what I earn

وأنا المرجَّى إنّ مَن

يرجو نوالك لم يخبْ

And I am hopeful, for whoever

Hopes for your grace will not despair
