I hung him, white with two eyes

Beautiful as the full moon, yet eyeless

And he would sometimes face me with an eye

That almost takes the light from my eyes

He gladdens eyes, yet is the foe of the eye

He is neither auspicious nor sinister

Two lips converse in the best possible way

And none but the two genders exceed him

He has worn dignity in two garbs

Eulogist said of the fellow resident

And he is too sublime for the place of the eye

His stay is my adornment and my adornment

Yet his stay is my disgrace
