1. أَما عَجَبٌ أَن يكفَلَ الناسُ بَعضهُم

    بِبَعضٍ فَيَرضى بِالكَفيلِ المُطالِبُ

    How strange that people guarantee each other

    And the demander is satisfied with the guarantor.

  2. وَقَد كَفَلَ اللَهُ الوَفِيُّ بِعَهدِه

    فَلَم يرضَ وَالإِنسانُ فيهِ عَجائِبُ

    Yet Allah, the fulfiller, guaranteed His covenant

    But man is not convinced—how wondrous!

  3. عَليمٌ بِأَنَّ اللَهَ موفٍ بِوَعدِهِ

    وَفي قَلبِهِ شَكٌّ عَلى القَلبِ دائِبُ

    He knows that Allah keeps His promise

    Yet doubt persists in his heart constantly.

  4. أَبى الجَهلُ إِلّا أَن يَضُرَّ بِعِلمِهِ

    فَلَم يُغنِ عَنهُ عِلمهُ وَالتَجارِبُ

    Ignorance insisted on harming his knowledge

    So his knowledge and experiences did not benefit him.
