وَزائرةٍ في ثوبِ سقمٍ وَتحتهُ

شروطٌ لَها خطّت على جسدٍ فضّي

A visitor in a robe of sickness—and beneath it,

stipulations of hers, inscribed upon a silvery body;

تفضُّ لِمَن يقفو برفقٍ شروطَها

كُؤوساً أباحتهنَّ للرشفِ والعضِّ

for whoever gently follows her stipulations, she unseals

cups she has made lawful for sipping and biting.
