1. رسلُ البشائرِ ورّدٌ وصدورُ

    فَلترعَ أسماعٌ لها وصدورُ

    Messengers of good tidings, hearts are returning and breasts

    So let ears listen to them and hearts as well

  2. بَكَرت تديرُ منَ المسرّة أكؤساً

    بِشذا التهاني نشرُها معطورُ

    The morn circles cups of joy

    Its greetings disseminating scented

  3. يَهتزُّ عطفُ الإرتياحِ لذكرها

    وَيدورُ لحظُ الأنسِ حيث تدورُ

    The arm of comfort shakes for mentioning it

    And the glance of intimacy revolves wherever it revolves

  4. للّه دَهرٌ أَعتبَت أيّامهُ

    فَجَنى أزاهرَ وَصلها المهجورُ

    For God, a time whose days He has blamed

    So He has reaped its flowers and the abandoned has arrived

  5. فاءَت إِلى الحُسنى فإِن تكُ أسلفت

    ذَنباً فَموهوبٌ لها مغفورُ

    She came to the excellent so if she was guilty of

    A sin, it is forgiven for her

  6. سَمَحت بكأسِ الوصلِ صفواً بعدما

    عَضَلتهُ في خدرِ المطالِ دهورُ

    She relented with a cup of pure connection after

    Hardships had marred it for ages

  7. أَسدَت يديهِ إِلى الورى يُمناهما

    يُمنٌ وفي يُسراهُما ميسورُ

    She extended her hands to people, right and left

    A right and in its left is ease

  8. فَاِنظر لِروضِ الإبتهاجِ قد اِكتسى

    حبرَ النضارةِ غصنه المهصورُ

    So look to the garden of rejoicing wearing

    The ink of freshness, its branch engraved

  9. مُتبرِّجاً للإحتفالِ كغادةٍ

    وُعدت بأنّ حبيبها سيزورُ

    Blossoming for the celebration like a lover

    Promised her beloved will visit

  10. تَشدو بلابِله على فينانه

    ثَمرُ المُنى بظلالها منثورُ

    Singing its nightingales on its branches

    The wished-for fruit in its shade scattered

  11. لا غَرو وَالأهواءُ تَستهدي النهى

    أن يستفزّ منَ السرورِ وقورُ

    No wonder and desires lead to prohibition

    That dignity be provoked by joy

  12. أَوَ ما تراهُ أبانَ مِن أَعطافنا

    تيهاً فكلّ ذيله مجرورُ

    Or do you not see it through our affection

    Lost so each of its tails is dragged

  13. طَرباً بنجلٍ للوزيرِ المصطفى

    ميمونُ كلِّ نقيبة مبرورُ

    Rejoicing for the son of the Minister Al-Mustafa

    Auspicious all pillars passed well

  14. أَضحى مُقدّمة الهناء قدومهُ

    وَربيع محل مارَ منه المورُ

    His arrival becoming the leader of happiness

    And a spring instead of what has passed decays

  15. بَينا رمادُ المحلِ مربدٌّ بهِ

    وَجه الصعيدِ وصدرهُ محرورُ

    While the ashes of the place are cold in it

    And its ground and chest freed

  16. تَرعى سوائِمُه الهشيمَ تلمّظاً

    وَثرى المواردِ في الرياح يثورُ

    Its steeds nibble the fodder inflamed

    And the ground of the pasture in the winds revolts

  17. إِذ واجَهته من المحرّمِ غرّةٌ

    سَعدَت فأسعدنا بها المقدورُ

    When a new moon of the sacred surprised it

    Bringing good luck so our fate was blessed

  18. نَشَرت بآفاقِ السماءِ مهارقاً

    فيها لِتوقيعِ الهناءِ سطورُ

    Spreading across the sky’s horizons

    Pages for signing happiness lines

  19. بُرءُ المشيرِ وفوزُ أرضٍ مسّها

    بِشكاتهِ لا يشتكي المحضورُ

    The Minister's innocence and the land's victory touched by

    His complaints, none present complains

  20. قَد كاتَمَته تجمّلاً بَأساؤها

    حتّى تكاملَ للشفاءِ ظهورُ

    It had hidden them gracefully

    Until perfection of healing appeared

  21. وَثنى لَها عِطفاً فَلمّا اِرتابها

    دَمق السماءَ ووجهه محسورُ

    And inclined to it affectionately so when it wavered

    He frowned at the sky and its face saddened

  22. فَإِذا خيامُ الغيمِ في أرجائها

    مَضروبةٌ وَحجابُها مستورُ

    So the tents of clouds in its spaces

    Are pitched and their veils covered

  23. وَاِنحلّ سلكُ القطرِ حتّى أنّه

    في كلّ قطرٍ عقده منثورُ

    And the strand of droplets dissolved until

    In every drop its necklace scattered

  24. وَغَدت صلالُ سُيولهِ منسابةً

    فَجرى بِها المعمور والمغمورُ

    And the torrent of its floods flowed

    So the prosperous and deprived flowed

  25. تَفري أَديمَ الأَرضِ عَن مَحَلٍ إِلى

    أن أخرَجَت مِنهُ الضبابَ جحورُ

    Uncovering the skin of earth to a place

    Until its burrows extracted the fogs

  26. فَتَلَقَّفَتهُ كَما تَلَقَّفَتِ العَصا

    سحر العصي بِما حَباها الطُورُ

    And it took like the stick took

    The magic of rods in what the Mount endowed

  27. وَتقَرَّتِ الأَجرازُ فَهيَ تُثيرُها

    عَلا بِبَردِ نَميرِها فَتَخورُ

    And the meadows it stirs them

    High with the coolness of its breeze so they shrivel

  28. حَتّى إِذا عَفَتِ المَذاهِبُ وَاِغتَدَت

    مِنها سُهولُ الأَرضِ وَهيَ وُعورُ

    Until when doctrines became gentle and

    Its easy plains and bumps mended

  29. وَتَعَطَّلَت طُرُقُ المَجازاتِ الَّتي

    أَوهَت قَرائِنُها فَعَزَّ عُبورُ

    And the ways of crossed were disabled

    Their contexts enfeebled so crossing was hard

  30. وَأَغارَ بِالأَغوارِ ذَرءُ سُيوبِها

    وَتَطَلَّع الأَنجاد مِنهُ زَخورُ

    And the abundance of its floods took the valleys

    And the flatlands expected from it prosperity

  31. وَاِستَقبلَ الخَضراءَ مِن غبرائِها

    وَجهٌ بأعينِ سَعدِها مَنظورُ

    And it faced the green from its ashes

    A face its eyes of fortune see

  32. فَكَأَنَّ كُلَّ قَرارَةٍ قارورَةٌ

    رَقَّت فَلاحَ ضَميرُها المَستورُ

    So it is as if every steadfast

    Melted so its hidden essence appeared

  33. وَكَأَنَّ مُطَّرد الفَواقِع فَوقَها

    دُرَرٌ تَدحرجُ أَرضُها بلّورُ

    And it is as if the flow of events above it

    Are pearls its ground pours rolling

  34. تَلقاكَ مِن كُلِّ المَواقِعِ رَوضَةٌ

    خَضلٌ غَضيرُ نَباتِها مَمشورُ

    Gardens meet you from all places

    Green, flowering plants pruned

  35. لِلطَيرِ فَوقَ مَنابِرِ اِبنِ مَعينِها

    مِن آلِ داوودَ اِعتَرى مَزمورُ

    For the birds above the pulpits of Ibn Ma'in

    From David's family the Psalms passed by

  36. جُدَد بأَذنابِ الطَواويسِ اِكتَسَت

    مِن بَعدِ أَن جَثَمَت بِهِنَّ الحورُ

    Renewed by the tails of peacocks dressed

    After they had settled on them the houris

  37. مُتَخَيِّفات الوَشيِ تَحسَبُ زَهرها

    خَلَعَت عَلَيهِ بُرودَهُنَّ الحورُ

    Frightening the antelope they think its flowers

    Upon it the houris' coolness shed

  38. سحبَ النَسيمُ عَليهِ فَضلَ ذُيولِهِ

    فَاِنحَلَّ جَيبُ عَبيرِهِ المَزرورُ

    The breeze pulled its trains' remains

    So the pocket of its perfume poured

  39. فَكَأَنَّما خُلُقُ الوَزيرِ تَمَثَّلَت

    رَوضاً وَفَيضُ أَكُفِّهِ مَمطورُ

    It is as if the Minister's nature embodied

    A meadow and the outpouring of his palms abundant

  40. هَشَّت بِمَولِدِ نَجلِهِ فَسَرى بِها

    في العالَمينَ بَشاشَةٌ وَحُبورُ

    They rejoiced at his son's birth so delight and love

    Spread in both worlds with joy and passion

  41. آلَت لتَمتدّنَّ فيهِ مَوائِدٌ

    وَليَشهَدَنَّ نَوالَها الجُمهورُ

    Wanting to extend for it banquets

    And for the masses to witness its bliss

  42. رامَت عُمومَ البرِّ ثمَّت أَشفَقَت

    مِن أَن يُجشَّم للقَصِيِّ حُضورُ

    It intended the good of all creation then pitied

    That the far be deprived of attending

  43. وَكَأَنَّه فَهمَ الأَلِيَّةَ فَاِختَشى

    أَن يَستَحيلَ إِلى العُقوق بُرورُ

    It is as if he understood the hint so feared

    Gratitude would turn to ingratitude's harm

  44. فَاِرتاثَ في المَأوى الطَهورِ رَجاءَ أَن

    يَنهَلَّ مِن رُحمى الإلهِ طهورُ

    So he sought in the pure residence hoping

    The mercy of God would pour purity

  45. تَغدو مَوائِدهُ البَرِيَّةُ وَالبرا

    وَيَكونُ عيداً عَودُهُ مَشكورُ

    His charitable banquets the righteous and dutiful

    And his return a feast thanked

  46. حَتّى إِذا غَمَرَ الأنامَ وَوُفِّيت

    مِنهُ لِآمالِ الوَزيرِ نُذورُ

    Until it overwhelmed the people and fulfilled

    From it the Minister’s hopes and vows

  47. وافى بِأيمَنِ طالِعٍ ما قَبلَهُ

    أَمسَت مَطالِعُ لِلهِلالِ حُجورُ

    Bringing with good stellar fortune what preceded it

    The rising places for the crescent became small

  48. وَضَعَتهُ مِن قَبلِ السرارِ بِلَيلَةٍ

    كَي لا يَبينَ شَبيههُ الدَيجورُ

    It placed it unexpectedly at night

    So that its similar not appear in the darkness

  49. فَبَدا كَما يَبدو فِرِندُ مُهَنَّدٍ

    جافى الغرابَ صَقِيلُهُ المَشهورُ

    So it appeared as the blade of the polished Indian sword appears

    Defying the crow, its polished fame known

  50. مُتَأَلّقُ الصفحَينِ يُبدي دلّهُ

    ليناً وَبَأسُ غِرارهِ مَحذورُ

    Radiant, its indication yielding

    Yet the might of its strike feared

  51. تَرنو العُيونُ لمائِهِ وَكَأَنَّما

    إِنسانُها مُتَوَعِّدٌ مَذعورُ

    Eyes covet its water, it is as if

    Their person threatened frightened

  52. شِيَمٌ حَواها مِن أَبيهِ وَنالَهُ

    مِن خالِهِ حَظٌّ بِها مَوفورُ

    Traits from his father contained, and from his uncle

    Gained a share in it abundant

  53. وَاللَّيثُ مِنهُ مَخائِلٌ في شِبلِهِ

    وَالشَمسُ مِنها في الأَهِلَّةِ نورُ

    And the lion in it has the mildness of its cub

    And the sun in it at the new moon, light

  54. وَمن المُشيرُ إِذا تَمَحَّضَ خالُهُ

    فَلَهُ عَناصِرُ في العُلى وَجُذورُ

    And who is the Minister when his uncle is pure

    For he has elements in highness and roots

  55. يُنميهِ مِن شَرَفِ الأُمومَةِ مَغرَسٌ

    كَرَمُ الأُبُوَّةِ عِندَهُ مَبذورُ

    Growing him from the nobility of motherhood a planted tree

    The generosity of fatherhood in it seeded

  56. يا أَيُّها المَولى الَّذي بِفِعالِهِ

    زينَت لِعيدِ المَكرُماتِ نُحورُ

    O He who with His actions beauty

    Adorned the feast of gifts necks

  57. وَطِئَت أَخامِصُ فَخرِهِ قُلَلَ العُلى

    وَعَلى التَواضُعِ طَبعُهُ مَفطورُ

    The heels of His pride reached the peaks of loftiness

    And humility is inherent in His nature

  58. مُذ أَلَّفَ الدُنيابِدينٍ قَيِّمٍ

    وَسِواهُ بَينَهُما عَلَيهِ نُفورُ

    Since He harmonized religion and life

    And equalized between them, animosity resulted

  59. يَهَبُ السِيادَةَ وَالسَعادَةَ وَالغِنى

    مُتَفادِياً أَن يَجتَديهِ قُصورُ

    Granting sovereignty, happiness, and wealth

    Avoiding want besieging Him

  60. طَلقُ المُحَيّا وَالبَنانِ سميدَعٌ

    رَحبُ الجَنانِ إِذا تَضيقُ صُدورُ

    Open, white and smiling, spacious

    When breasts are narrow, cramped

  61. تَلقى بَشاشَةُ وَجهِهِ وَجهَ الرَجا

    فَتُماطُ مِن خَجَلٍ علاهُ سُتورُ

    The cheerfulness of His face meets the face of hope

    So covers from shyness its banners

  62. يَستَأنِسُ الفَزِع الهَيوب بِمَنطِق

    أريِ الجَنى مِن مَعدنَيهِ مَشورُ

    Fearing sheep are comforted by His speech

    The crops of His two springs ripened

  63. يُحيي مَواتَ العُذرِ مِمَّن قَد جَنى

    وَيُميتُ غمراً شَعَّرَتهُ غُمورُ

    Bringing to life the dead of excuses of those who sinned

    And killing resentments that clouded them

  64. دُم لِلإيالَةِ وَالإِنالَةِ وَالعُلى

    تُحيي مآثِرَ ذِكرُها مَأثورُ

    Lasting for empowerment, attainment, and highness

    His mentioned achievements aged

  65. تُؤوي الأَنام إِلى ظِلالِ مَعيشَةٍ

    مَهدُ النَعيمِ لِجَنبِها مَوثورُ

    Sheltering people in the shade of a livelihood

    The abode of bliss to its side guaranteed

  66. وَتُعيدُ لِلأَيّامِ عُذرَ شَبيبَةٍ

    وَعهودَ أُنسٍ غالَهُنَّ دُثورُ

    And restoring to days the excuse of youth

    And eras of intimacy that time eroded

  67. مُستَعصِماً مِنكَ الزَمانُ بِعُروَةٍ

    وُثقى وَعَهدٍ حَبلُهُ مَمرورُ

    Secured from You by a firm covenant

    And trusted pact its rope extended

  68. يَأبى الإلهُ وَكُلُّ عَبدٍ مُؤمِنٍ

    إِلّا عُلاكَ عَن السِوى مَحجورُ

    God and every believing servant refuse

    Except Your loftiness from equity prevented

  69. لِمكارِم إِن يَحوِ غَيرُكَ نَزرَها

    فَكَما حَوى أَسماءَها المَسطورُ

    If others attempt its generous deeds

    It is as whoever attempts its recorded names

  70. وَسَدادُ رَأيٍ أَعزَبَتهُ زُيودُهُم

    وَسَوادُ ثغرٍ أَسلَمَتهُ عُمورُ

    And the rectitude of an opinion its accessories weakened

    And the darkness of a mouth it subdued civilizations

  71. مَن كان حُبُّ النَفسِ جُلّ هُمومِهِ

    فَلِحُبِّ أَحمَدَ مُصطَفى مَنصورُ

    Whoever self-love is the sum of his worries

    Then love of Ahmad Mustafa is his triumph

  72. حَدبٌ عَلَيهِ يَوَدُّ أَنَّ حَياتَهُ

    لِفِداءِ أَحمَدَ إِن يُرابَ تمورُ

    Yearning if other than You hosts its meager share

    It is as whoever hosts its written names

  73. لَقَدِ اِصطَفى مِنهُ المُشيرُ لِنَفسِهِ

    خِدناً عَلى الحُرُماتِ مِنهُ غيورُ

    The Minister chose for himself a bosom zealous

    For sanctities from it jealous

  74. فَبِرَأيِهِ المَيمونِ أَصبَحَ قُطرُنا

    وَعَلَيهِ مِن حُسنِ الإيالَةِ سورُ

    So by his blessed opinion our country thrived

    And from goodness of rule over it fences

  75. يَرتَدُّ طَرفُ النَجمِ عَنهُ خاسَئاً

    وَيَعزُّ أَن تُعزى إِلَيهِ فُهورُ

    The sight of a star turns from him despondent

    And it is hard to attribute to him meteors

  76. يا سَيِّدَ الوُزَراءِ وَالكَهف الَّذي

    في ظِلِّهِ عَيشُ الوَرى مَغضورُ

    O Minister of Ministers and the cave whose

    Shadow the people’s life blessed

  77. وافَتكَ مِن عَبدِ السَلامِ سَلامَةٌ

    وَإِلى المُشيرِ الفَألُ مِنهُ يَحورُ

    From Abdus Salam well-being reached you

    And for the Minister good omens come from him

  78. فَاِبشِر بهِ فهوَ الهلالُ لِفَرقَدي

    صِنوَيهِ مِنهُ تَهَلُّلٌ وَبُشورُ

    So receive it, for it is the crescent for my

    Two beloveds, from it drops and tidings

  79. وَاِنعَم بِهِم وَبِمثلِهِم مِنهُم وَكُن

    جَدّاً حَوالَيكَ الجُدودُ تَدورُ

    And enjoy them and their like from them, and be

    Around you forefathers revolving

  80. حَتّى تَرى أَحفادَهُم ما مِنهُمُ

    إِلّا بِدَستِ وِزارَةِ دُستورُ

    Until you see their descendants, none of them

    Except with ministry constitution

  81. آراؤُهُم لِلمُهتَدينَ ثواقِب

    وَأَكَفّهُم لِلمُجتَدين بُحورُ

    Their opinions are insights for the guided

    And their palms for the transgressors seas

  82. يأوونَ مِن قَلبِ المُشيرِ وَطَرفِهِ

    لِمَنازِلٍ لَم تَنحهُنَّ بُدورُ

    They take refuge in the heart and glance of the Minister

    To homes no structures encompassed

  83. يُرضيهِ مَخبَرُهُم إِذا ما اِفتَرَّهُم

    وَيُقِرُّ طرفهُ مِنهُمُ المَنظورُ

    Satisfying him is their news if absence diverts them

    And his glance of them watching pleases him

  84. يَأتونَ ما يُرضي عُلاهُ سَجِيَّةً

    ما فيهِمُ المَنهِيّ وَالمَأمورُ

    They come voluntarily what satisfies his nature

    No prohibited and ordered among them

  85. يَأويهمُ منهُ ببرّ مسبلٍ

    وَهو الهزبرُ الضيغمُ الهيصورُ

    He shelters them in righteousness and being forgiving

    For he is the steadfast, gentle, pictured

  86. لا يَختَشي نوبَ الليالي جارُهُ

    وَلو اِنّ سائرها به موتورُ

    His neighbor fears not the turns of nights

    Even if the rest of them with him are severed

  87. فَبَقيتَ تَلحظُ مِن أسرّةِ وَجههِ

    بَرقَ الرّضا ينهلّ منه قرورُ

    You remained observing from the secret of his face

    The lightening of satisfaction pouring cups

  88. وَتَفيضُ مِن جَدوى يَديه رغائبٌ

    كلُّ الأنامِ بفيضها مغمورُ

    And overflowing from the bounty of his hands wishes

    All the people with its outpouring flooded

  89. ما دامَ للفلك المدارِ إحاطةٌ

    وَلِشمسهِ بعدَ الحجاب سفورُ

    As long as the sphere's orbit surrounds

    And after the veil its sun pours

  90. وَإِليك من أبكارِ فكري رادة

    حرّ الكلامِ برقّها مأسورُ

    And to you from the first of my thoughts a returning

    The hotness of speech its necklace imprisoned

  91. قَد عُلّقَت مِن بيت مجدك كعبةً

    فَلَها طوافُ ثنائِها منذورُ

    It hung from the house of your glory like the Kaaba

    So for its circumambulating vows devoted

  92. زفّت لبابِكَ غبّ أترابٍ لها

    هيَ للقلوبِ حبائل وصقورُ

    Rushing to your door an absent lover for whom

    They are for hearts knots and hawks

  93. لَولا أيادٍ منكَ يبهضُ شكرها

    ما أطلَعَت مِنها الشموس خدورُ

    If not for hands from you that reward their gratitude

    From them the suns crescents would not rise

  94. إِنّ القلوبَ عَلى اِختلافِ طِباعها

    بِودادِ أحمَد كلّها معمورُ

    Verily the hearts despite their different natures

    With love for Ahmad are all populated

  95. فَمذ اِشتكى دانت بوَأد بَناتها

    إِذ ما لها إلّا لديه مهورُ

    So when he complained, their daughters conceded

    For they have no dowries but his

  96. حتّى إِذا ساغَ الهنا بشفائهِ

    للسّمعِ واِرتبطَ القلوب حبورُ

    Until when the joy of his recovery permitted

    For hearing, and hearts intertwined with passion

  97. أَهديتُها عذارء ملء فُؤادها

    حبّ المشيرِ ومَن إليه يجورُ

    I gifted it a maiden whose heart obsessed

    Love of the Minister and who to him comes

  98. قَد هنّأتكَ فَهنّأت كلّ الورى

    بأعزّ أَبلجَ لم تقله ضؤورُ

    You have congratulated so congratulated all existence

    With the most noble not said by soothsayers

  99. سرّ العُلى مَن قال في تَأريخهِ

    عبدُ السلامِ لوالديه سرورُ

    The secret of loftiness, whoever said in his date

    Abdus Salam - for his parents joy
