By my father and mother you are of the oppressed

The enemy was pleased with her and changed her state

If only Azzeh contended with the sun at dawn

In beauty in the eyes of Muwaffaq he would judge for her

And women came to me wearing the anklets of Azzeh's pride

The King made their cheeks his slippers
