لَكِ من قَلبيَ المحبِّ الودودِ

شاهدٌ واحدٌ كَفى عن شهودِ

You have from my loving, affectionate heart

One witness enough instead of witnesses

أَنتِ روحي فان احبَّتكِ روحي

فَلِنَفسي هَويتُ لا لِبَعيدِ

You are my soul, so if my soul loved you

It's for myself I fell, not for a stranger

إِن اكن بالحياة أَعمُرُ عُمري

فبكِ العمرُ لَيسَ بالمحدودِ

If with life I live my lifetime

Then with you, lifetime has no limit

انتِ فوقَ الحياةِ عندي فَلو زا

لت حَياتي ما زالَ معها وجودي

You, to me, are above life, so if life

Were to go, with it would go my existence

بكِ احيا فَلا احتياجَ اليها

فاِنقُصي يا حياةُ او فَلتَزيدي

With you I live, no need for it

So decrease, O life, or increase

زدتني قوَّةً على العيش حَتّى

انني صرتُ طامعاً في الخُلودِ

You've given me strength to live until

I've become greedy for eternity
