هَذي الثريّا بدت في منزل الملكِ

مثل الثريّا بدت في قبَّة الفلكِ

This chandelier appeared in the king's palace

Like a chandelier appeared in the dome of the sky

الشمس طلعتهُ الغَرّآءُ ساطعةً

وآلهُ الانجُمُ الزهرآءُ في الحُبُكِ

The sun shone brightly upon it

And the stars adorned it with their radiance

شاميَّةٌ والثريّا في السمآءِ كَذا

لَها سُهيلٌ قَرينٌ في دُجى الحَلَكِ

A Syrian chandelier in the sky as such

With Suhail as its companion in the darkness of the orbit

قَد صاغ زُخرُفها الحمصيُّ فاِنسبكت

في قالبٍ من بديع الحسن منسبكِ

Its ornaments were crafted by the Damascene, intricately intertwined

In a mold of exquisite beauty, intricately intertwined

تُهدى إِلى الشمس كيما تَستَنيرَ بها

من حسن نورٍ بسامي المجد محتبكِ

It is gifted to the sun so that it may illuminate it

With the light of sublime glory, intricately intertwined

فَيا ثُرَيّايَ ها شَمسٌ مؤَرَّخَةٌ

فان ظِفرتِ بها أُهدي الهنآءَ لكِ

O my chandelier, oh dated sun
