يا حبَّذا بين العقائل بَرزةٌ

هيَ في الرجال ذوي العقول الباهره

O the finest among rational women

She is among men of brilliant minds

عُضوٌ بِمُجتَمَع الحضارة عامِلٌ

تُجري بِهِ هِمَمَ الرجال القادرة

A member of the civilized community, an active one

With whom the determined men's aspirations flow

ضاهَت نسآءَ الغرب في الشرق الَّذي

غلبت بِهِ هِمَمُ انلسآءِ القاصرة

She equaled the women of the West in the East which

The confined aspirations of women overcame

فكانهنَّ خُلِقنَ للأَزياءِ وال

إِسراف فهيَ على الحقوق مُثابره

As if they were created for vanity and

Extravagance while she is perseverant on rights

وَيَقُلنَ كَم أَتهمتمونا بالوَنى

فتأَمَّلوا الهِمَمَ الجِسامَ الظافره

And they say, how do you accuse us of weakness

So consider the mighty, triumphant aspirations

وكانهنَّ ضيوفنا لكنَّما

أَجَل الضيافة ما لَهُ من آخره

And as if they were our guests, but

The guest has no end to his stay

وَالضيف ليس يكون مقترحاً سوى

أَضيافهنَّ الناهياتِ الآمره

And a guest should not suggest anything but

The commanding, prohibiting guests

بشرَّتِ ما باشرتِهِ بنجاحهِ

كمقدِّماتٍ للنَتيجة خابره

You brought good news of your successful undertaking

As introductions to the confident outcome

فرجعتِ ناظرةً لمدرسةٍ غدت

فيها العذارى بالهنا متباشره

So you went back, overseeing a school that

Became one where the young girls are active

لما رأَينَكِ اذ نظرتِ لهنَّ في

تأريخهنَّ هتفنَ نعمَ الناظره

When they saw you as you looked at them in

Their history, they hailed, O the good overseer
