لا تعجبوا ان طارَ قَلبي في الهَوى

اذ انَّها قد أَودعتهُ نارا

Do not be surprised that my heart has flown away in passion

For she has set in it a fire,

حتىغدا فيها رَماداً ثُمَّ إِذ

هبَّ الهوى يوماً عليهِ طارا

Until it has turned in her to ashes, then when

The passion one day blew upon it, it flew away
