لجبرائيل كاتبَ قد تجلّى

غُلامٌ باهر الوجه الجَميلِ

Gabriel, the scribe, has appeared

A youth with a radiant, beautiful face

بِهِ هتف المُؤَرّخ في هناهُ

وَما احلى البشارةَ بالخَليلِ

The chronicler proclaimed about him

How lovely is the good news of the friend
