لَما هتفتَ بِشكرِ مَولانا الَّذي

جَعَلَ المَعالي لِلكِرام مَراتِبا

When you raised your voice in thanks to our master, who

made lofty honors into ranks for the noble,

تَعلو لِصنفٍ أَرخوهُ أَولٍ

بِالرُتبة الأُولى أَجابَكَ صائِبا

you rise to a class; they dated it: “Foremost

in the first rank”—and it answered you truly.
