للدينِ في العَلياءِ أَنتَ حُسامُ يَعتَزُّ
في تَجريدِهِ الإِسلامُ
For religion, in the highest places, you are the shining sword of Islam
In its essence, your brilliant rays shone in the assembly
لَمَعَت أَشعَّتُكَ البَديعةُ في المَلا
تَجلو الهِدايَة حَيثُ زالَ ظَلامُ
Illuminating guidance where darkness had fallen
Your eyes kept vigil when you waged holy war
سَهَرَت عيونُكَ إِذ غَدَرَتَ مُجاهِداً
تَحيي الفَضائلَ وَالعُيونُ نِيامُ
Reviving virtues while eyes slumbered
With you the radiant era boasts
فَغَدا بِكَ العَصرُ البَهيج يُفاخر
الأَعصارَ وَاِبتَسَمَت بِكَ الأَيام
to the ages, and days smile through you
Indeed, knowledge adorned you, O Lord of minds, with knowledge
وَلَقَد جَلاكَ العلمُ يا رَبَّ الذَكا عَلَماً
لَهُ في المَجدِ عِزَّ مَقامُ
That has honored glory in its station
For Islamic law, you are the sword of truth, shining
لِلشَرع أَنتَ حُسامُ حَقٍّ لامِعٌ
عَضبٌ بِهِ تَتَفاخَرُ الأَقلامُ
With you pens take pride
Who but the spirit-soul has a share of your sword's essence?
مِن لِلحُسامِ بِحُسنِ جَوهَرِكَ الَّذي
نَفسُ النُفوسِ نَصيبُهُ لا الهامُ
Not random fancy, which comes and goes
That death suspended by its scabbard
ذاكَ المَماتُ معلَّقٌ بِفرنَدِهِ
يَسطو وَأَنتَ إِلى الحَبوةِ قِوامُ
Assails, while you stand steadfast at the battle
You judged the horizons with your fatwas, flowing
حُكِّمتَ بِالآفاقِ بِالفَتوى الَّتي
تَجري بِما يَقضي بِهِ الإِلهامُ
With what inspiration ordains
So protect the domain of manifest justice, informing
فَإِحمي حِما العَدلِ المُبين مخبّراً
في الكَون عَن عمرٍ وَأَنتَ هَمامُ
The cosmos, while you are its zealous defender
Raise the standard of truth in this world
وَاِرفَع مَنارَ الحَقِّ في الدُنيا الَّتي
رُفِعَت بِها لِلعومِكَ الأَعلامُ
Borne aloft by your supreme banners
Revive knowledge in the land, be its pillar
وَأَحيي المَعارف في البِلاد وَكُن لَها
سَنَداً فَللإِفضالِ أَنتَ إِمامُ
For benevolence, you are the imam
In you is hope, from you guidance, through you faith
فيكَ الرَجا مِنكَ الرَشادُ بِكَ الهُدى
وَلَكَ الثَنا تَشدو بِهِ الأَنامُ
For you is praise sung by all people
Our King has ennobled his servants through you
إِولى العِبادَ مَليكَنا بِكَ منَّةً
فَسَمَت مَسَرَّتهم وَتَمَّ مَرامُ
Fulfilling their joy and purpose
He said: "Give tidings of victory!" For now appears
قالَ أَبشِروا بِالنَصرِ فَوراً إِذ بَدا
أَرَّختُ شَيخَ المُسلِمينَ حُسامُ
