He has made all beauty beneath the curtains languish.
Among what he counts as his glory is my abasement.
May it delight him that I am one he has slain,
if he is absolved of blame for killing me.
A sunrise of beauty that has no sunset,
within a lush, rain-drenched bough.
His light pointed to the morning sun,
and the sun pointed to the shaded canopies.
