الخَلقُ تَحسدُني عليهِ

أو كيفَ آمنهُم عليهِ

The creation envies me for it

Or how can I entrust it to them

يَبدو فتفضَحُهم عُيو

نُهُمُ إذا نَظروا إليهِ

It appears and exposes them

When they look at it

كَم من أسيرٍ في الأنا

مِ لمُقلتيهِ ووَجنَتيهِ

How many captives in the self

To my wrists and cheeks

إن كانَ أصبحَ في يدي

يَ فإنَّ قلبي في يَديهِ

If it has come into my hand

Then my heart is in its hand
