Tears he would shed though he'd protect them,
A wounded heart though eyelids healed him,
He did not weep until parting fooled him,
A friend of old, prolonged his crying, his yearning,
He's used to wakefulness. Can an enamored one sleep?
His sighs and moans won't let him sleep.
O you who blame me, leave me be! This passion
Won't obey my heart though it's his religion.
