ومُتصلِ المحاسنِ بالفتونِ

أقامَت فيهِ لذاتُ العيونِ

Possessing the unbroken chain of beauties

Where the darlings of eyes once dwelled

تضمنَ جسمَ عاشقهِ سقامٌ

بهِ بينَ المحاجرِ والجفونِ

His lover's body harbored an illness

Between the eyelids and glances it held

لهُ من جَوهرينِ تمازجاهُ

سَماويينِ جلا عن قَرينِ

From two celestial essences he was formed

Exalted beyond any peer

وجلَّ فلن تَراهُ كلُّ عينٍ

فَكنت بالبديعِ وبالمَصونِ

Sublime is he, no eyes can behold him

For I was of the unique and the concealed
