1. قَد تطلعُ الشمسُ كما تطلعُ

    ونورُهُ من نُورِها أنصَعُ

    The sun may rise as it rises

    And its light is more splendid

  2. في وجههِ أضعاف أضوائِها

    فهو إذا ما اجتمعا أجمَعُ

    In his face are manifold its lights

    So when joined they are most luminous

  3. لا شيءَ في الناس إذا حصلوا

    من وجههِ أبهى ولا أبدَعُ

    There is nothing among people if they gain

    From his face more glorious or magnificent

  4. فإن يَكن ملّكه طرفهُ

    بلحظهِ قلبي فما أصنَعُ

    If his glance captures my heart

    With a glance, what can I do?
