If passion is desire, it does not sleep,
And yearning that the days do not wish it away.
By my father, how do you waste my youth
With frowns, though frailty is not shamed?
Grant my eyes from what hurts my eyes
Some solace, as dreams solace the sleeper.
By your love I disobey no chider
When blame mounts on the hearts of the blamed.
