دُ فلم يعدهُ إلى ذي نوالِ

Among the men of Quraysh is a youth

Whose generosity the atmosphere reveals

جدَّدت كفه لموسى بن حفصٍ

من عطايا ما أخلقتهُ الليالي

His hand was renewed for Musa ibn Hafs

With gifts created by the nights

أرفعُ الأكرَمينَ في المجدِ بَيتاً

حلَّ بالمَكرُماتِ أعلى المعالي

I raise the house of the two most generous in glory

Settled with favors, the highest glories

كل يومٍ له نوالٌ ينادي

مسمعاً من يبيع مدحاً بمالِ

Every day it has a gift that calls out

Hearing whoever sells praise for money
