لمحاسنِ الوجهِ المَصونِ
بالعِزِّ عن لحظِ العيونِ
For the charms of the veiled face
Too proud for the eyes' glance
وبِوجنَتينِ شَبيهَتينِ
الوردَ فوق الياسمينِ
With two cheeks like
Roses over jasmine
إلا رثيتَ لمدنَف ال
حَركاتِ مُكتئبِ السُكونِ
Will you not lament the withered one
Of mournful movements in repose
مَن مُقلتاهُ دلتا
هُ للملاحةِ والفتونِ
Whose glances once allured
To coquetry and passion
