بحسبكما عينايَ أن تشغلا قلبي

وأن تدعوا نفسي تتوقُ إلى نحبي

أعيني لا صبر فأحبسَ عبرةً

عذرتكما لو كان يعذرني قلبي

My eyes cannot be patient, so restrain the tears
