أيا كثيباً علاهُ

غصنٌ يميلُ ببدرِ

O sandhill adorned with a branch

That bends under the brilliance of the full moon

لا تجعلنَّ مواتي

من الهوى طولَ هجري

Do not let my yearning in love

Make this separation any longer
