My heart has taken the place of my body
Oh you who dwell in my homeland
Oh you who ask where my tears have gone
My indifference wept for them in my intimacy
Together solitude and sleep have saddened me
For long has been my forgetfulness of wellness and cheer
I wish this which has befallen me would grow
Never did I say, I wish that had not happened
