Are you standing on the lines

So we see what we have met of eras

They were left with the feet of the meadows until

The homes were unrecognizable to the sighted

Like inscriptions on stones or tattoos

By the hands of the Romans lastingYouth

And cheeks I have seen smiles on them

With their feet colored silk with checkered clothes

When you meet her, she smiles coyly

Like the smile of a gazelle at a water spring

We both flirt when we meet

And love shows what is hidden in conscience

So she kills me and I kill her and we live

And mix what brings death with life

But what kills us is a leader

Who has taken control of our hearts

A soft flowered meadow and barren plateau

With little water in the heat of passion

And the day we met will not return

To a garden between solemnity and purity

You fulfill promised nights of intimacy

    As I fulfill my vows

And I heal if my soul parts from her

Healing time, influenced by the compassionate

If only time would renew itself for us

And we return like we were, in the time of tent dwellers

    And the returning nights

Become months or more than months

Oh Lord of honor and glory

If I die, I will be attributed to graves

Of loud lamentations, fragranced, far from mention

    Like the shining moon

With eyes set on the heights

Of good manners and humble nature

    Glory flows from his hands

When the orphan is saved from butchering

And night brought the dogs, so their barking

    Turned into whimpering

The girl of the neighborhood comes close

To the annihilator, from the heat of cauldrons

While her father made meat easier for her

Than perfume is to the girl

I am no son of an uncle to the proud woman

Nor a neighbor to the lowly

But the steeds remain with me

    Light stepping, enduring the journeys

In a howdah as if the ground in it

    Prepares for endurance and dawns

So she takes me in an embrace and the coldness in it

With death in my bones or numbness

And I become stooped when I enter her lap

The stoop of captivity in a prisoner's neck
