Oh my aching heart that almost broke at dusk
From separation, after the reproachers had gone,
At dusk I have no solution but to indulge
In drawing lines and circles in the sand.
I trace and erase the lines then redraw them
With my palm, while the does surround me, startled,
At dusk, neither those who stayed in Ghorab
Had rest, nor those who left in haste.
