لَنا صاحِبٌ مِن أَبرَعِ الناسِ في البُخلِ

وَأَفضَلَهم فيهِ وَلَيسَ بِذي فَضلِ

We have a friend, the most skilled of men in stinginess,

The best of them in it, yet he is no man of merit.
