ياِبنَ الأُلى رَسَخَت أحلامهُم وَرَسَت
إِذ الأَكفُّ مجانينٌ مهاويسُ
O son of the sublime, their dreams took root and grew
When mad hands clapped, raving revelers
لا تدخُلِ الحانَ والصُفّاعُ ثائِرَةٌ
حتّى تُقامَ حوالَيكَ المَتاريسُ
Enter not the tavern while swords clash around
Until barricades are raised about you
وَقُل لِصُدغكَ يَستَقبِل وُفودَهُمُ
بالبابِ إنَّهمُ قومٌ مناحيسُ
And say to your temples to welcome their hosts
At the door - they are a witless tribe
