1. العيدُ عاد بِما تَشاء بَشيرا

    وَالسَعدُ ظَلَّ له عُلاكَ سَميرا

    The feast has returned with whatever you wish, harbinger

    And happiness remained for you, lofty summit

  2. وَالدينُ وَالدُنيا يَتيه كِلاهُما

    طولَ المَدى بك عِزَّةً وَسُرورا

    Religion and life are both lost

    With you for long glory and delight

  3. أَعزَزتَ شَأنَ رَعِيَّةٍ بك فاخَرَت

    أُمَماً وَكنتَ لها أَباً وَأَميرا

    You have honored the status of a people proud of you

    Nations for which you were a father and prince

  4. وَشَعائِرُ الشَهرِ الكريمِ أَقَمتَها

    حَتّى تَوَلّى عن حِماكَ قَريرا

    And the rituals of the generous month you upheld

    Until the heat turned away from your protection cool

  5. لا زلتَ تُسدي لِلمَواسِم بهجَةً

    وَلِمُلكِ مصرَ نَضارَةً وَحُبورا

    You still bestow on the seasons radiance

    And on Egypt’s realm freshness and prosperity

  6. وَتُذَلِّل الصَعبَ الخطيرَ بهمَّةٍ

    تَدَع الجَليلَ من الأُمورِ يَسيرا

    And you facilitate the difficult and dangerous with determination

    Leaving the momentous affairs easy

  7. وَتَرى بَنيكَ الأَكرَمينَ جَميعَهم

    بِسماء مجدِك أَنجُما وَبُدورا

    And you see all your noble children

    As stars and full moons in the sky of your glory

  8. بشراك فَالإِقبال قال مؤرِّخا

    تَوفيقُ عيدُ الفِطر جاء مُنيرا

    Good news—the fortune-teller said the Feast of Fast-Breaking has come

    The auspiciousness of your feast arrived shining
