قُلتُ يا صالحُ ارمِ دَل

وَكَ في جُملَةِ الدِلا

I said, "O Saleh, throw a bucket,

And be among the whole bucket,"

قال دَعني كما أَشا

أَحكمُ اليومَ في المَلا

He said, "Leave me as I desire,

I judge the day in the open space."
