لكَ في الشِعرِ يا نَسيمُ مَعانٍ
باهراتٌ تحارُ فيها العُقولُ
Yours in poetry, O Nasim, are meanings
For you, O breeze, in poetry, meanings
So dazzling that minds are bewildered by them.
Marvelous, in which minds are confused.
كلُّ بَيتٍ يُطِلُّ منهُ على أَف
هامِ أَهلِ النُهى محَيّاً جَميلُ
From every verse there looks out upon the minds
Every verse looks out from it, on the minds
Of those endowed with reason a beautiful face.
Of the people of wisdom, beautiful and clear.
