Rise, Khalil, and pass your poetry among us,
Rise, O Khaleel, and let your poetry flow through us
As wine that drinks up reason, and as heady wine.
Like a jug pouring teachings and wisdom
You are the bishop of the faith of new poetry,
You are a rainfalls of a new poetry faith
Which enchanted Muslims before Christians.
That graced Muslims before it did Christians
