Which bough in the garden has a breeze stirred,
Which branch in the garden did a breeze shake,
From which these blossoms were scattered?
that scattered these flowers?
حَبَّذا شِعرهُ الجَنِيُّ وَأَهلاً
بِبَيانٍ تُزهى به الأَشعارُ
How lovely his freshly plucked verse—and welcome
Welcome is poetry that adorns
To eloquence by which poems are adorned!
