أصبَحَ المُلكُ بَعدَ آلِ عَلِيٍّ

مُشرِقاً بِالمُلوكِ مِن آلِ شاذي

The kingdom after Ali's house

Shines with kings from Shadhi's line

وَغَدا الشَرقُ يَحسُدُ الغَربَ

لِلقَومِ وَمِصرٌ تَزهو عَلى بَغداذِ

And the East envies the West

For the nation, and Egypt triumphs over Baghdad

ما حَواها إِلّا بِحَزمٍ وَعَزمٍ

مِن صَليلِ الفولاذِ في الفولاذِ

It contained nothing but resolve and determination

Of clanging steel on steel

لا كَفِرعَونَ وَالعَزيزِ وَمن

كانَ بِها كالخَصيبِ وَالأُستاذِ

Not like Pharaoh and Al-Aziz and those

Who were in it like Al-Khasib and Al-Ustadh
