يا حابِسَ الكَأسِ خَيلَ الوَردِ قَد وَرَدَت
شُهباً وَكُمتاً أَدِر يا حابِسَ الكاسِ
O withholder of the cup, the horses of roses have arrived
As meteors and stars, so pour, o withholder of the cup
أَقسَمتُ ما الوَردُ في الأَزهارِ قاطِبَةً
إِلّا كَمِثلِ صَلاحِ الدينِ في الناسِ
I swear the roses in all the flowers
Are none but like Salah al-Din among the people
الوارِثِ المَجدَ عَن آبائِهِ أَبَداً
مِثلَ الخِلافَةِ في أَولادِ عَبّاسِ
He who inherited glory from his fathers eternally
As the caliphate among the Abbasid sons
