ذَرِ الأَتراكَ وَالعَرَبا

وَكُن في حِزبِ مِن غَلَبا

Leave the Turks and Arabs be

And join the party of the victors

بِجِلَّقَ أَصبَحَت فِتَنٌ

تَجُرُّ الوَيلَ وَالحَرَبا

With Jiluq strife arose

Bringing woe and war

لَئِن تَمَّت فَوا أَسَفا

وَلَم تَخَرَب فَوا عَجَبا

If it's done, what a pity!

If not, what a wonder!
