وَمُغَوّثٍ بَعدَ الهُدوِّ أَجَبتُهُ

وَلِسانُهُ وَعثُ اللَهاةِ قَطيعُ

I hearkened to his cry for help when troubles came,

Though from his tongue confusion poured like frightened sheep.
