حَمَدناكَ بالعُرفِ الَّذي قَد صَنَعتَهُ

كَما حَمَد الساري السُرى حينَ أَصبَحا

We praise you for the customary kindness you have shown,

Just as the one freed praises the act of manumission at dawn.
