1. A grave—may every morning raincloud water its two sides

    with a downpour it seeks from the clouds of grace.

  2. Then stand beside it reverently, and recite the greeting of peace over

    a people who have gone wholly into the Creator’s mercy.

  3. This is the abode to which we repair, and from

    its depths, at the station of the Gathering, we shall return.

  4. O Lord, have mercy on humble servants in Your keeping, from among

    the sons of Abu Qasim, who have lain down within its fold.

  5. You gathered them in the earth. Set down its date: “Among us—may it be that

    in Your presence, in the Garden of Paradise, we shall gather again.”
