برحمةِ اللَهِ في هَذا الضَريحِ فَتىً

كَالغُصنِ عَن آلِ فيليبيذِسٍ ذَهَبا

In God's mercy in this tomb a youth

Like a branch from the house of Phillipides departed

فَانظُم لِمَثواهُ تاريخَ العَزاءِ وَقُل

إِن الخَلاصَ لِقَسطنطينُ قَد كُتِبا

So compose for his resting place an elegy and say

Salvation is decreed for Constantine
