Rosa, a maiden of the Jaouiche tribe, has departed
Like a branch that the wind of separation has met and broken
At fifteen she passed away and I lamented her
She will remain forever, not five nor ten
Her great happiness has ended and she left behind
The clarity of her father Alexander darkened
So the date of her passing wrote of her
O soil of roses, the dew bids you good morning at dawn
