1. أبا صالحٍ أبدي لديك شكاية

    من الوجد منها لا أعيد ولا أبدي

    O Abū Sālih, my eternal complaint to you

    Of passion from which I do not repeat nor start anew

  2. فلا تتركنّي للنوائب عرضةً

    تقنِّع في فودي وتضرع من خدي

    So do not leave me exposed to misfortune

    That would wrap itself around my heart and plead from my cheek

  3. لقد زدت في فضلي وانقصت كاشحي

    وشدت ذرى مجدي ونوهت في جدي

    You have increased my merit and diminished my rival

    And sharpened the glory of my splendor and made known my nobility

  4. شحذت شبا عضبي وأطلقت مضربي

    وزدتَ صقالا فيَّ رقرَق إفرندي

    You have sharpened the blades of my fresh youth

    And added more polish to my glittering shining sword

  5. قدحتُ بزندٍ قد تصاعد وريُهُ

    شراراً فلم يصلد بقادحة زندي

    I have struck with a spark that rose in smoke

    Sparks but did not harden from the strike of my flint

  6. قصرتُ عليكم صادق الودّ مخلصا

    وحسبي في العقبى قبولكم ودّي

    I have been sincere to you in devoted friendship

    And it suffices me of rewards your acceptance and affection

  7. قصدت وسيع العفو من باب جودكم

    وعلمي يقينا لا أخيبُ في قصدي

    I sought the vast pardon from your generosity

    And I know with certainty I will not fail in my quest

  8. متى تشرق الدنيا بيوم ممهدٍ

    تنادي به الأملاك قد ظهر المهدي

    When will the day dawn made smooth

    That the angels will call out the Mahdi has appeared

  9. ويُطوى لواء الغي من بعد نشره

    وتُنشرُ في الآفاق الوية الرشدِ

    And the banner of misguidance will be folded after being spread

    And the flag of righteousness will be spread in the horizons

  10. وتطلعُ شمسُ الأفق في أفق غربها

    فيسفُرُ صُبح الحق بالطالع السعدِ

    The sun of the horizon will rise in the west of its setting

    So the dawn of truth will shine with the rising of good fortune

  11. فللَه من يوم أغرّ محجل

    تعجُّ به للَه بالشكر والحمدِ

    To God belongs the day that brings joy

    With gratitude and praise to God

  12. وللَه محبوبُ الجمال مغيَبٌ

    أماط حجاب الغيب عن منظرٍ وردِ

    To God belongs the beloved of beauty absent

    Who has uncovered the veil of the unseen from a returning vision

  13. لقد صدءَ السيف المضاجعُ غمده

    فقم شاهراً للسيف منذلق الحدِّ

    The sword has indeed clanked in its sheath

    So rise, bare for the sword its sharp blade
