1. هي الدار تعرف اسوانها

    فما لك تنكر عرفانها

    This is the house that knows its dwellers

    So why do you deny knowing them?

  2. فقف بيَ مستلما تربها

    وجانب بثقلك خفانها

    Stop by me, receiving its soil

    And walk slowly, lightening your weight

  3. وعج بارائك ذات الاراك

    وصف ليَ نعمى ونعمانها

    Delight in its soft sands

    And describe to me its bounty and gifts

  4. ويمم طلاع ثنايا الغمير

    وشعب الغوير ونجرانها

    Look towards the peaks of Al Ghamir

    And the valley of Al Ghweir and its palms

  5. وسلّم على سلمات العذيب

    سقتها البوارق تهتانها

    Say hello to the terraces of Al Udheib

    Watered by the rain pouring from its clouds

  6. بمرتسناتٍ بمثل الارا

    قم جذبا تحارش آذانها

    With gazelles like virgins

    Stand up excitedly, almost touching their ears

  7. فمن كل نافحة بالذميل

    تلاعب في الجد ارسانها

    For every doe with a fawn

    Playing seriously in its creek

  8. تجوب المواميَ مذئوبة

    تناقل في الدو سرجانها

    Wandering the meadows, melting away

    Passing secrets in its creeks

  9. اقول لسعدٍ على اليعملات

    والعيس تعمل وخدانها

    I say to Saad in the sand dunes

    While the night moves and its cheeks

  10. طوى البيد اشعث رث القميص

    خميص الحشاشة طيانها

    The full moon rose ragged and worn

    Like the shirt of a weak nomad

  11. يزج ضوامر مثل الصقور

    كواسر تسبق عقبانها

    Throwing bracelets like falcons

    Racing its heels

  12. بعينٍ تخلَّج في ماقها

    قذى كاد يقلع انسانها

    With an eye that flashes in its orbit

    Almost plucking out its human

  13. بوادي العقيق جرت بالعقيق

    وبالسفح تسفح عقيانها

    In the valley of Al Uqaiq it flowed with tar

    And on the hill it pours its springs

  14. خليليَّ لي بمنى حاجةٌ

    منىً لو اناشد جيرانها

    My friend, I have a request in Mina

    If I called upon its neighbors

  15. لقد كنت قبل طروق المشيب

    طويل الذؤابة فينانها

    I used to be, before the plucking of old age

    With thick hair and gap teeth

  16. اخا لمَّةٍ ليَ غربيبة

    اطرت على الخيف غربانها

    A brother to a kind woman

    Who pitched her tent over her neighbors

  17. شروب الغديات وقت الضحى

    طروب العشيات نشوانها

    Drinking morning draughts at dawn

    Pleasant evenings, happy gatherings

  18. فمن لي بطيبة في طيبها

    ومكة امسح اركانها

    So who can I find in good Taybah

    To wipe the corners of Mecca for me?

  19. ظمئت لبارد ذاك القليب

    رميض الجوانح حرانها

    I thirst for the coolness of that heart

    With longing wings, passionate

  20. الا لاعدا فيح تلك البطاح

    سقيط يباكر حوذانها

    Oh, if only those who reproach in the sands

    Would be silent, stopping their blame

  21. وكلل بالوبل اعرافها

    وقرّط بالطلّ آذانها

    And cover its plains with flowers

    And decorate its ears with dew

  22. تفيء بالطل اوراقها

    علينا وتشبك اغصانها

    Shade its leaves with dew

    And intertwine its branches over us

  23. ويرقص منتشياً اثلها

    اذا سكر الزمن قضبانها

    And make its family dance joyfully

    When time intoxicates its rods

  24. سقاها رباب الحيا المستهلّ

    وروَّض بالعشب كثبانها

    Watered by the flutes of vitality

    And trained its dunes with grass

  25. وهبَّت علينا صبّا شمأَل

    بليل تباكر غيطانها

    It blew upon us a morning breeze

    At night, hastening its clouds
