فلسان حالى لم يزل لى شاهدا

أن ليس لى من داء شوقى واقي

My state of being has remained a witness for me

That I have no protector from the illness of my passion

وغدا عذولى فى الهوى متجنبا

عنى ونور الحب في اشراق

And tomorrow my beloved will avoid me in love

While the light of love is dawning

حتى تنفس فجر وصل أحبتى

فجلا ظلام جفاهم وفراقي

Until the dawn of union with my loved ones breathes

Dispelling the darkness of their estrangement and my separation

فحلا لدى الحب بل طاب الهوى

عندى وفزت بكأسه والساقي

So love has adorned itself for me, rather love is delightful

For me, and I have won its cup and the cupbearer
