Among the tribes is a graceful gazelle
Of the black antelopes, a beautiful king,
Who captivates people with his stature
And his cheeks and his forehead.
He makes eyes grow
In his garden, roses of cheeks.
He fulfills his promises whenever
Asked by a glance to be generous.
The flowers of his eyes guaranteed
The fruits of the promises.
He is, in my passion, a money-changer:
In transactions and coins.
In religion I am a Hanifite,
In love I am a Jew.
