بصباح وجهك تشرق الاعياد

ولباب مجدك تهرع الأمجاد

With your face the holidays shine bright,

And to your glory's door nobilities rush.

وإذا جرى ذكر الكرام بمجلس

بدؤوا بذكرك وانتهى التعداد

When the generous are mentioned in counsel,

They start and end with you in their count.

سجدت لك الاقلام حين رفعتها

والغاب ترفع ذكره الآساد

Pens bow down when you raise them high,

And lions elevate your name through their dens.

حبرت حذاق الحساب بفكرة

تركنهم والوفهم آحاد

You perplex the experts of accounts with an idea,

Leaving them and their minds as individuals.

قس الفصاحة لو نطقت سحرته

ولود لو أن الحديث بعاد

If eloquence could speak it would charm you,

And if speech kept its distance from you.

لم يسبقوك وان سبقت بوالد

فكلاكما في الماثرات جواد

None surpassed you, even if your father did,

For you both are thoroughbreds in good deeds.

ما المجد الا ما يكون وراثة

وتزيد عن آبائها الاولاد

Glory is but an inheritance,

With children exceeding their first fathers.

منكم بدا نجم الهداية للعلا

وعشا لنار قراكم الفصاد

From you came the star of guidance to supremacy,

And a nest for the hawks of your hills.

ان السيادة في ذراك تعوذت

بك ان يمد بدا لها الحساد

Sovereignty sought refuge in your offspring,

So no envious hand may reach for it.

عزمات مثلك لا تعاب بحده

بيض الصوارم كلهن حداد

Resolves like yours cannot be faulted,

The blades are all Indian steel ready to cut.

هذا الغمام على الخلائق رحمة

وصفاته الابراق والارعاد

These clouds are a mercy upon all people,

With traits of lightning and thunder.

يا دوحة ظل السعادة ظلها

لا زال حولك غصنك المياد

O palm tree of happiness, may its shade last,

With your branch forever fresh.

ورعى حماك من العناية حارس

وسقى ثراك من الحياة عهاد

Watched over by Providence's care,

Watered by the rivers of life.
