يا مَنَ رَأى القُبة الَّتي اِجتَمَعَت

مَناقب الخُلد في مَناقِبِها

O you who saw the dome where

The attributes of eternity gathered in its attributes,

كَأَنَّها جَنَةٌ مُزَخرَفَةٌ

وَيَقصر الوَهم عَن عَجائِبِها

As if it were an ornate garden,

And imagination falls short of its wonders.

دانَت لَها الجِنُّ عِندَ رُؤيَتِها

لِلأنس إِذ نَحنُ في غَرائِبِها

The jinn submitted to it when they saw it,

Strange to mankind as we are amidst its curiosities.

في سماها ديمة تَسحُّ بِلا

سَحابة انشئت لِساكبها

In its sky a constant cloud pouring down

Without a cloud being created for its pourer.

تَهمي لَنا وَالسَماء مصحية

لا يُرتَجى الدُر مِن سحائِبها

It rushes upon us while the sky is awake,

No pearls are hoped for from its clouds.

فيها نقوش يَحكي منمنمها

منمنم الرَوض في جَوانِبِها

In it are inscriptions that murmur

The murmur of the garden in its sides.
