  1. O Muslims—what a wonder,

    fashioned by the Maker!

  2. My eye beheld a minaret

    with a mast upon its head.

  3. On the morning of the feast, it remains

    in the hours before dawn;

  4. within it, the lamps

    are kindled with fire.
